Gwenyth Glynn Wensleydales was created out of our Irish and Scottish heritage and a love for fiber. Our farm is located in the "knobs" - small hills - of Southern Indiana overlooking the mighty Ohio River and the horse racing capital - Louisville, KY. We maintain a flock of 40+ Wenselydales of varying percentages from 62% to 93%. Our goal is to produce the very best fleeces, therefore we are not necessarily breeding just to produce higher % lambs - but lambs of quality. We have a lovely color range in our sheep - black, gray, heather, and white. Our goal is to maintain 50% of the flock in color. We have benefited from a brisk demand for our colored fleeces and strive to meet this growing market. We are members of the North American Wensleydale Sheep Association, the Natural Colored Wool Growers Association, and the National Voluntary Scrapie Program (VSFCP). We love visitors and the opportunity to show off our lovely Wensleydales. The location of our farm in the central southern region is an easy day's trip for most folks in the Midwest. We serve fine English teas & biscuits at tea time in true Scottish tradition!
